...cops really DO love donuts! And I love cell phones with cameras! Great to see my local law enforcement knows a good donut when... uuu... they taste one.

Metalshaping Video
Thanks to my buddy Jack (Creepy Jack's Evil Eye Blog) for sending me the link to this YouTube video! It's an advertisement for a DVD (which I will have to pick up now!!) that shows metalshaping secrets and panel repair without using an English Wheel. Very cool stuff! If you like metalshaping as much as I do, watch this YouTube clip! Neat stuff!
The website is www.metalshapingzone.com
DVD is 38-pounds (appx. $62+). That's about the going rate for any good metalshaping video that's this in-depth.

Model A Progress
Lots of progress this weekend... got the heads on the "new" hemi build after some minor deck surgery, made some seat risors (will pivot later so the seat can flip forward), and the biggest progress was the fuel tank mounts! TONS of work went into these stupid things, but I think it ties everything together nicely.
Been working on linkage for the Hemi with the mock-up motor that's in the car..
Heads on and double roller timing chain in place...
Starting to look like there's a place to sit in this thing. Put some padding in the seats just to try to get the sitting position close.
The new risors
Bracket building! At least 20 hours just in these two brackets. GAH!
Had to set the Crafty-B fuel cap up on there to see how it looked! Stoked for sure!

Limeworks Speed Shop - 15 Years
Had the pleasure of poking around Limeworks Speed Shop, in Whittier, CA yesterday. Steve is celebrating 15 years of successful hot rod building. My hats of to him and the whole crew that helped make it happen! Congratulations!
Need some cool parts for your traditional hot rod? Check out Limeworks or drop in and see their showroom and shop, located in a cool old building on Greenleaf in Whittier!
Limeworks Speed Shop
Keep rockin' ya' ol' "china plate"!
Here's a few pictures from around the shop. I'll be going back up at some point to get some more pictures, if Steve will let me back in the building. :) For now, you'll just have to hold out with these...
The killer shop protector, Kona. The dog that will eat your furniture.
Blown Daimler Hemi!! You guys KNOW I'm a sucker for a Hemi!
Steve acting like the tough guy while Craig and I laugh, because we know better.

The PPE does Antique Nats
Went to the 39th Annual Antique Nationals in Fontana, CA this weekend. My favorite show of the year! Great cars, friendly people, and some great drag racing fun with everything from Whizzers to full on fuel altered drag cars. What a blast, as always!
There was a special surprise this year, though. The Purple People Eater made a special appearance and they let 'em run! Sweet!!! I got video and the fisheye pictures are mine, the other starting line pictures were taken by someone else.
I'll post the videos later...
Enjoy!

Pinstriped piece of history

Big thanks to Mark Kawakami!
Last weekend, Mark Kawakami of Joyrides Art Company, came in and took some shots while I was working. Never had anyone do that before and these might be the only proof out there that I actually DO work and not just talk about hot rods all the time. I feel bad for the people that have to listen to my jabber all the time...
I'm just starting to learn more about photography and really have plans to take it further in the future, so naturally Mark's work is inspirational. Hopefully I can learn a thing or two from him.
Check out his Blog site for more awesome photogaphy and if you want to see my silly mug working on my never-ending battle of Ford Model A, he has a ton up there from that Saturday.
