++Brief Intermission++

Might be away from the computer for a couple-a-few days!  But...

...I'll be back!

Oops!

This will certainly ruin your afternoon!  D'OH!

(saw this on the HAMB with no explanation.  Crazy!)

Belly Out!

This thing RULES!  Check out McCain Automotive for more on the build:

Keep Building!

PLEASE!  We need more people posting more pictures of more interesting projects like CustomJ's hand-built roadster on the HAMB.  Going to be sick for sure!  LOVE builds like this!  Very motivating for a weekend of labor-intensive sheet metal work.

Now if we can just get Matt Seret back to work on his hand built beauty, we'll be in good shape!  :)

Eric Gonsalves' 1954 Chevy - Total Animal!

So last night I had the pleasure of getting a ride to "the Broiler" (Harvey's Broiler, now Bob's Broiler) in my buddy Eric's chopped and bagged '54 Chevy. Pictures do NOT do this car justice!  It's not just a really nice looking car, either.  This car hauls ASS and he drives it like it should be driven.  Fantastic car!  Thanks for the ride bro!  Huge inspiration for our '53 Poncho.  The bad part about that is, I was just going to make the 389 a mild-mannered V8 with a 2 bbl carb...  Now I think it wants MORE!  :)  HAHA!

Pictures as seen in Street Rodder Magazine

This is recent...

...And yest it's a real 550 coupe. (EDIT)  #001.  Restoration complete in 2005.  Now is a resident of Florida.

Big Wheels and Big Thoughts...

Some pictures I found while looking through some of sheet metal guru's, Rex Rogers, photo albums.  These were some mock-ups put together at his place of business, Custom Auto - Real Hot Rods, of Loveland, Colorado.

The inscription related to this picture said "Coolest car we have yet to build".  Couldn't agree more!  A '32 five-window with 18" Halibrand smooth magnesium wheels!?  Seriously cool!!

What that chassis and wheel combo was actually used for...  Steve Memishian's 1932 "big wheel" roadster.

My Bar of Chocolate

So I have to throw a plug up here for my wife, because she is seriously kicking some ARSE behind the lens, lately!  Super proud!  It's a new blog, so make sure to check out the project she's doing.  A picture a day for a year and also for the first 30 she's actually shooting specific subject matter just to learn.

Enjoy...  MY BAR OF CHOCOLATE

Stepping back in time...

...Picked up a couple Bruning drafting machines this morning.  Going back to old school!  I've done more CAD than I can comprehend and I miss the art of board drafting.

Lit Up - Weesner Inspired Pick em up

I've been following the progression of this INCREDIBLE build for a little bit now.  If you haven't seen it, YOU NEED TO!  Follow the build on the HAMB here ---> LIT UP

Every time I look at the thread I just want to push all my crap off a cliff.  Just AMAZING metal work!
