No it's right, Il Cavallino Rampante (the horse) comes from Enzo Ferrari who drove for Alfa Romeo and used it on his cars, so it's an Alfa driven by Enzo Ferrari (that's btw the name of my house cat at Mosta Hill)...
From 1920 to 1929 Enzo Ferrari was an Alfa Romeo racing driver. In 1929 He started Scuderia Ferrari (Ferrari racing team) as the racing team for Alfa Romeo. In 1932 he began to display the prancing horse (Cavallino rampante) badge which during WWI decorated the fuselage of Francesco Baracca's (Italy's leading ace of WWI) SPAD S.XIII fighter and given to Ferrari from Baracca's mother. In 1947 Ferrari founded today's Ferrari S.p.A. and began to manufacture his own cars.
