Grille Shell Progress
Been chipping away at this '32 grille shell for quite some time now. First it was chopped but just tacked, then I used a genie '32 Ford shell to transfer the crank hole, then peaked it, then went back and finished stripping it and worked on the chop seams. Few more things to clean up, then final prep before primer.

Daily Plymouth
Was down in Seal Beach one day messing around with the new camera and ran across this sweet Plymouth. The owner also owns the 4-door Hudson in the background. The Plymouth is his daily driver. Good to see people drivin' their cars instead of leaving them in the garage until the weekend! Much respect!
Old Tools RULE!
Some really good friends of mine just happen to have an old Bridgeport J-head sitting around collecting dust and offered to bring it down from storage so it could get some use. WOW! Love old tools! Especially old machining tools! It's a 1957 J-head Bridgeport and it apparently started life out in a coin mint! I feel very fortunate to have it in my possesion! Going to restore it the best I can and get it dialed in.
Down side: TOOLING! UHG! Pretty much have to start from scratch. Not to mention, it's been a very long time since I've used a mill for anything purposeful!
Good news though... Going to start working on some of the "Whatchaworks" ideas that will be eventually extended to you folks. So stay tuned!
Thanks Andrew and Dave Brudnicki!

Sweet Bottle Opener from Pfeifer Studio
Ran across these bottle openers on another blog site/online store that my Sis is associated with. Super cool! I would have a hard time choosing which one to get though! Could actually use the hammer as well as open bottles probably! HAHA! I like that!

Bean's Tattoo Arm Stand
One of my really good brothers, Bean, is a great tattoo guy. He's needed an arm stand for a while, so... I made him one. It only took about a year and half, or something, but it's pretty much done. Few more details to clean up and I need to get the right hardware on there and he can take it back to Vegas.
Most of it is pretty much scratch built, but I had a few parts laying around I thought might make it more interesting than just a plain ol' stand. The base ring is a split 1937 Ford wide-five patterned brake drum. Model A connecting rods were used to keep it indexed when it's being adjusted, and 331 Chrysler Hemi valves and springs were used as the actual arm rest. Bean will do the finish coatings so it can be properly sterilized.

Rod Riders and Ferguson Racing
This weekend I had quite a treat. Went to the Rod Riders annual at Ferguson Racing. Was my first time seeing this shop so the drool factor was high! Some of the most incredible vintage speed parts I have ever seen! There were cool parts shoved in corners and stacked up all over the place. Everything from shopping carts of spare exhaust bends and vintage Bally pin ball machines to insane Ardun race engines 32 Ford Roadsters hanging from the ceiling! Was seriously incredible!
Thanks to Ferguson Racing for opening their doors to allow this event at their venue!
Check out more about the Rod Riders and Ferguson Racing, and the Ardun OHV kits!
